Testimony: Manor Suite Off Rockland

We really enjoyed our stay in Victoria. The suite was very clean and modern, and we particularly liked the two-headed shower! The house where we stayed was also in a good location, very close to Government House and within walking distance of many of Victoria's beautiful sights, including Beacon Hill Park, Ross Bay, Oak Bay, Gonzales Hill, etc. Grocery shopping was not quite so convenient we had no car, but it was manageable.

The owner was very helpful in resolving two of the problems we encountered no WIFI internet access initially, and a break-down of the washing machine.

The were only three aspects of the suite that bothered us somewhat. First, the bed was not particularly comfortable, the mattress seemed to sag in places. Second, the suite had little natural light, as it was in the basement. And third, we sometimes got noise from upstairs, as it seems there is no sound-proofing between the upstairs and downstairs levels. Probably the owners also got some noise from us sometimes!

Anyway, overall it was an excellent experience, and we are very happy that we now know Victoria very well.

Miraloma on the Cove is a very nice quiet spot to get 'away from it all' and I would certainly return in the future. Having said that, the suite I rented for two months was not equipped adequately for that length of time ie. kitchen supplies. It would have been good to know that the studio suites are not suitable for a long term stay. I should have rented a one bedroom unit instead, but was not aware of the lack of some necessities for a long term stay.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there... very relaxing and refreshing.
By the way, the bed linens were very cosy and comfortable.

Testimony: Capitol Hill Executive House

We loved this house, it had everything we needed. Close to any attraction or just a few minutes away from downtown, malls, restaurants, etc.

Amazing view from the hill and a quite and safe neightborhood. And my dogs were happy to get to travel wih us.

Deborah is a really nice person, if I have to stay more than a week in Burnaby or Vancouver I would definitely book this house again!

Testimony: Serenity By The Sea

The house is excellent, and easily accommodated us a couple with three teenagers and two dogs. We found all necessary house appliances with some nice extras like a hot tube. The hospitality of the owner is awesome. We arrived at night, but even so, he personally guided us to the house, and arranged foodstuff for the night meal and breakfast.
We highly recommend this property.

The condo was clean and comfortable, conveniently located to public transportation and directly across from a mall with a multiplex theatre. The downside was that it was the month of December and out of 30 days there were only 3 of sun 26 rain and 1 snow.

The apartment was just perfect for what we needed. We were just a couple of blocks away from our son's apartment, so going back and forth was easy. We were also able to spend a week in Vancouver without needing to hire a car since we were easy walking distance to nearly everything we needed. Stanley Park is close by, so we were able to go running through the park and on the seawall every day despite terrible weather!. The apartment is comfortable and the owners have been very thoughtful about the kinds of equipment one might need during a stay. The wireless internet works well, and the printer/scanner came in handy when we suddenly needed to sign and send some important papers. The kitchen is well supplied after a big shop at a nearby supermarket, we were able to prepare meals at the apartment when desired.
We would definitely stay at this apartment again.

We came to Victoria and stayed at Bungalow 59 for the purpose of having a baby there. We live in a community where babies are not delivered and as such we came to stay for 6 weeks. We needed a great location and a large yard for our three year old to play in and found both here. The property was immaculate and well stocked with necessities. We loved this property and look forward to staying there again.

The accommodation was in a quiet, relaxing environment. It was clean and well equipped including wireless internet access, and I saw no problem during my stay. It takes only a five minute walk to a nearby park and ten minutes to the seashore. There is no grocery store or any shop within a short walking distance, but you can reach large supermarkets within 5-10 minutes by car. It was the beginning of winter and I had much rain, but there was some sunshine occasionally and it was fun to walk around. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and appreciate the house owners and EMR Vacation Rentals staff for their hospitality and modesty.

Our vacation to Vancouver and Vancouver Island was fantatstic. The views from both the apartment in Vancouver and the house on the island were stunning. Having access to kayaks enabled us to gain another perspective on this beautiful part of the world. I will certainly return.

Our month-long stay at Ship's Point Beach House was a lovely home away from home that was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again and hopefully that will be sooner rather than later. The most peaceful and serene place to enjoy ever changing views of the ocean bay's activities. It was so interesting to watch, bald eagles, blue herons, kingfishers, stellar jays, swans, seals, salmon jumping out of the water, and a delightful variety of other birds that we kept our binoculars close by ready to observe continuous scenery and wildlife changes. The private yard was so nice to spend quiet moments. Having a walking trail from our beachfront to the nature areas nearby was an added bonus and very much utilized during our stay. We loved watching the tidal changes and all the variety of activities that changed with them. It is a very special place to relax and nature watch.

Evenings were easy to spend sipping some beverages, dining on Fanny Bay oysters and enjoying the local company and great service just down the road at the FBI- Fanny Bay Inn. Highly recommended for great food and friendly servers.

The beds were very comfortable and we found the kitchen to be nicely equipped. I would add an ice-cream scoop and a funnel too. Everything was in working order and we had lots of extra blankets, towels and bed sheets in stock. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient.

Many thanks for a totally terrific vacation rental experience.

Testimony: Bungalow 59

We would like to thank EMR Vacation Rentals for the great vacation we had while staying in Bungalow 59 in Oak Bay, Victoria, B.C.

The house was in a perfect location for visiting with our two daughters and grandchildren in Oak Bay and the layout of Bungalow 59 was great for entertaining the family and for my husband and I and my mother-in-law to stay in the house together but have our own separate sleeping and bathroom areas. The whole family enjoyed the fenced backyard and the barbecue/patio areas and we were happy to be able to bring our small dog along. It was perfect having the laundry area for our month long stay.

It was also nice to be able to park our vehicle in the driveway of the Bungalow and not be worried about parking on the road as we have had to do at other vacation rentals.

Our reservation agent, Brenda was very informative and helpful in planning our vacation and our greeter was on time and friendly.

We will definitely be booking Bungalow 59 for our next vacation to Victoria and have recommended EMR Vacation Rentals to family and friends for their next vacation.
