Mathers View is a large updated character home in West Vancouver with stunning views to the ocean and Stanley Park. The home sits on a large private landscaped lot with the pool situated in the front of the home so you can relax and enjoy beautiful views on warm summer days.

The partially covered patio in the pool area provides some shade to relax and enjoy cool ocean breezes or sit in the hot tub and soak your cares away. The patio presents 180 degree views from Lions Gate Bridge to the Gulf Islands. The main living area of the home is quite large with great views, hard wood floors and a modern sound system for your music listening enjoyment. For the feel of bygone days, there are two wood burning fireplaces for your pleasure. The kitchen is bright and spacious and has a stainless steel gas range, granite counter tops, and an island with a double sink and bar seating for four. It also has heated floors and a wine cooler. For entertaining, the adjacent dining room, which is open to the kitchen, has seating for eight people. The main level has the master bedroom with a king bed. Two additional bedrooms have two twin beds and a double bed and two of these bedrooms have ocean views. Upstairs on the second level, there are three bedrooms with views and a very large bathroom complete with a step up soaker tub, a separate shower and 2 sinks. The recreation room has access to a balcony giving the best views to the ocean and Gulf Islands and can be configured with 4 single beds for extra sleeping capacity during the Olympics.

This home is located in Upper Ambleside, a quiet desirable area of West Vancouver. Ambleside has many shops and first class restaurants with some of the best food and views in Vancouver. The West Vancouver Recreation Centre which has new facilities such as a pool, skating rink and a gym and is only five minutes away. If you prefer to leave the car, transit passes directly in front of the home for quick access to shopping, Ambleside Park and downtown Vancouver. Ambleside Park located less than a mile away has a Par 3 golf course, beautiful sandy beaches and looks over to Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge and provides access to the West Vancouver seawall for walking, biking or roller-blading. Transit will also take you to Stanley Park and the Vancouver Aquarium, which are 10 minutes away by car. For those with active lifestyles, hiking and mountain biking trails are within minutes. Highway 99 and Highway 1 are only two minutes from the house for access to Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain and Horseshoe Bay for Sunshine Coast, Bowen Island and Nanaimo, Vancouver Island ferries. Highway 99 will also take you to the world famous resort of Whistler, just 90 minutes away.
