One mile from the Olympic Curling Venue at Hillcrest Park, The Garden Suite is a ground level suite in a recently celebrated Vancouver Special Home. The suite is newly renovated with a bright, modern kitchen and a lovely walkout to the garden. The Garden Suite sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has a queen sized bed. Bedrooms #2 and #3 can have either double beds or twin beds depending on the needs of the clients. There are two freshly renovated bathrooms, one with a tub and shower and one with shower only. The kitchen features a brand new gas stove, microwave and dishwasher as well as many small appliances. There are full laundry facilities right in the suite. As mentioned, the location is one mile from the Olympic Curling venue and Nat Bailey Stadium. It is a short and easy bus ride to downtown Vancouver and about 2 miles from Trout Lake, another Olympic venue for skating. The suite is within walking distance to Fraser Street where ethnically diverse restaurants and shops abound as well as Main Street which is a trendy shopping district filled with cafes, local artists antique markets and interesting restaurants and shops. There are many parks and green spaces close by in this very family friendly neighborhood. It is a quick 15 minute car ride to the Vancouver International Airport. Please note the suite has a ground level entrance with wide doorways to allow wheelchairs access to the unit. One of the two bathrooms has a wide doorway and room for chairs to be able to turn fully. There are no hand holds in the bathrooms and the washer/dryer is a stacking unit therefore not accessible for a person in a chair. |
