This family home is a comfortable, modern home with a mountain view from the second and third floors. The house is in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver, an area renowned for its restaurants, friendly atmosphere, and easy access to downtown and airport.

This three level home features has 2 bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom, an attic study that could sleep two more, and a downstairs washroom. The house has cozy electric radiant central heating throughout. On the ground floor the main room has a wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen has granite work surfaces, a European oven and glass stove top, a microwave, dishwasher and all you need to create a perfect meal. The hardwood floor extends through the dining and living areas where several rugs add to the warmth of the room. The windows look onto a private, fenced garden with access to a deck above the garage. There is a wide screen television with surround sound as well as audio with radio and CD player.

The large master bedroom on the second floor features a walk in closet and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom on this floor has a new double sofa bed, a closet and a small television as well as an ensuite bathroom. There is a washer and dryer in the closet on the landing. On the top floor is the study, with wireless ADSL and space for two fold-away beds. This room has views over the city and towards the mountains and is accessed by stairs directly from the second floor.

The house is one block from the main Broadway corridor, where many stores and restaurants can be found. Indeed, within a five minute walk from the house there is a wide selection of restaurants, ranging from an all-you-can-eat dinner to La Lumiere, one of the best restaurants in North America. Several are open 24/7. There is easy, local access to a wide range of boutique stores, a library, and a movie house. Also, within walking distance, there are gym facilities, several parks and access to the beach.

There is free parking on the street outside the house. The city downtown area is 15 minutes away and the Sea to Sky highway allows you to drive to Whistler in less than two hours. There are numerous bus services that stop around the corner, making driving to most places redundant and saving on parking! The number 9 bus traverses the city, the #17 and #22 go downtown, and the Express bus, #99, gets you to UBC or the eastern side of the city in record time, along the Broadway corridor. All these buses connect with Rapid Transit.

In short, this comfortable, private modern house is located in funky Kitsilano, a great place to enjoy the 2010 Olympic games.
