Newly sanded and sealed heritage floors and plaster walls takes you back to the cabin feel of the 40s. The 50-year-old garden with fruit and hazelnut trees gently slopes down to a new dock where your canoe awaits for a relaxing paddle on the enchanting Gorge Waterway. Ashley Gardens also includes an infrared sauna with views of the ocean and a built in stereo to listen to your favourite music while enjoying the scenery. Enjoy your dinner out on the wisteria-laden deck while blue herons, hummingbirds and the occasional eagle fly overhead.

For shopping, restaurants, museums, events, attractions and night life, the City of Victoria is just minutes away. Drive for 7 minutes along the scenic Gorge Waterway into Downtown Victoria or Kayak into to town and tie up in front of the Empress hotel during slack tide. The handmade cedar strip canoes at the dock allows for sunset or sunrise paddles along the tranquil shores of Portage Inlet. The house is also only 7 minute drive to Elk Lake Victoria's fresh water swimming hole.
