Whiffen Spit Manor is situated on 1.7 acres of west coast tranquility on the Sooke bluffs, an ideal setting in the prestigious Whiffen Spit area of the quaint town of Sooke. The home and property combine to offer commanding views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the beautiful Olympic Mountains. The entirely private property boasts large grassy areas surrounded by trees and a charming herb garden, a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee in the sun.

The peaceful atmosphere of the property is accented by majestic Douglas Fir trees that tower overhead, one of which is home to a family of eagles. Additional local wildlife sighting on the property visible from the front window include deer and quail to name a few. While away the hours enjoying great ocean vistas dotted with passing fishing boats, cruise ships, Sea Lions and whales.

The well furnished home is decorated in soothing tones with a variety of country pieces, sculptures and a collection of west coast paintings by well known artist, Paul Dishaw. The first level of the home features a large and cozy family room and the adjoining sun room is a perfect place read in the late afternoon or sip your favourite beverage while watching the sunset. In the living room, a beautiful rock fireplace sets the mood or warms cool winter evenings.

The spacious master bedroom with its sweeping views of the Juan de Fuca Strait offers a wonderful romantic hide-a-way from within the house complete with a cozy living area and an alcove bed. The master bedroom ensuite is bright and sunny thanks to the skylight that lights the gorgeous Jacuzzi tub, ideal to soak your troubles away while enjoying the large picture window overlooking the ocean. The other three bedrooms command views of the gardens and or the ocean and are perfect for additional guests or extended family members.

The area around Whiffen Spit Manor include the beautiful Whiffen Spit park, a spectacular place to walk out into the headwaters of Sooke Basin from which you can watch the comings and goings of Sooke Harbour as well as the abundance of natural flora and fauna that the area has to offer. Nearby is also the world famous Sooke Harbour House Restaurant, a dining experience no one should miss. Sooke is also the stepping off point to many other west coast natural wonders that are just a short drive away.
