This gated, oceanfront 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom beachfront cottage is an ideal spot to really get away from it all on beautiful Vancouver Island.

Located in the picturesque Comox Valley, this vacation rental offers guests comfortable living spaces, incredible ocean views, beach access and an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As you drive through the gates of Kye Bay Beach House, you will be welcomed by the cheerful cottage and ocean beyond. Park in the covered driveway right at the front entrance which provides shelter for the occasional summer showers.

As you step into the home, you will be immediately greeted by the bright modern, cottage style kitchen. With white shaker cabinetry, modern, free standing hood vent, built in-island range, top of the line wine fridge and dedicated bar sink, this fully stocked, refurbished, modern cottage kitchen is impressive. Whether you are mixing cocktails for an afternoon in the sun or whipping up your favourite summertime meal, this kitchen is the perfect size for all your culinary needs.

Straight through the kitchen from the front door, you will find the large, comfortable living room and dining area under the chic shed-style ceiling that creates openness to the space and allows for light to fill the room from the array of paneled windows.

In the living room, guests will find a comfortable six seat sectional, plush armchairs and a large flat screen TV. In the summer, you can take a moment to cool off inside and still enjoy the sun sparkling off the waves.

The adjacent dining area seats up to six people around the solid, farmhouse-style oak table. Here you can enjoy larger meals together if you need a break from the great outdoors and it makes a wonderful spot to enjoy a cocktail and a board game!

Through the sliding glass doors in the dining area, you can access the conservatory, an elegant way to enjoy indoor/outdoor living in any weather. This is a great spot to sip your morning coffee and watch the sun rise over the water.

On the main floor, guests will find a bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and plenty of storage space to organize your luggage as well as a three piece bathroom that includes a walk-in shower and large vanity.

A laundry room with full sized side-by-side washer and dryer units completes the main floor.

On the second floor, guests will find two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Both bedrooms are furnished with comfortable queen-sized beds and gorgeous warm wood furniture but one has an additional private, west-facing balcony and is the perfect place to catch a glimpse of a beautiful Comox summer sunset.

The bathroom on the second floor is a tasteful and an immaculately renovated three piece suite with large, walk-in shower stall, incredible lighting, small window for circulation and wide vanity to ensure that guests who are sharing this space have ample room for their toiletries.

If you are looking for a primary suite with extra privacy, you are in luck at Kye Bay Beach House! This beautiful space is located in a stand-alone cottage, outside of the main house ensuring an added level of privacy and tranquility. The warm, knotted wood of the shiplap ceilings, doors and cabinetry creates a cottage spa feel in this comfortable, deluxe suite. Here, you can find a queen sized bed, cozy seating area under the large windows, a small kitchenette, three piece ensuite and ocean views.

In the summertime, the outdoor living spaces at Kye Bay Beach House make this property really one of a kind. Located just steps away from one of the most beloved, local sandy beaches, this house is the perfect location for seaside family holidays or group getaways.

At low tide, explore the expansive shoreline and at high tide, you can swim in the warm water of the bay. Kye Bay is an ideal place for wildlife spotting and for groups with children, there are picnic areas and a colourful playground near the beach.

But Kye Bay beach is not the only outdoor draw for this house - at this incredible beach house, there are two large patio areas with ample seating, an extensive backyard and additional lawn seating! The first patio, accessible directly off the conservatory, offers guests an outdoor lounge and BBQ area, perfect for grilling summertime feasts and enjoying evenings filled with great conversation. The second patio, adjacent to the first, guests will find a six seat outdoor dining table complete with comfortable chairs and umbrella to allow for longer sojourns in the heat. Here, you can enjoy a light breakfast on warm, sunny mornings or spend the evening enjoying a meal with friends alfresco. The extensive lawn is ideal for children to play, hosting large picnics and sunbathing or perch in a comfortable Adirondack chair on the edge of the beach and watch the sunset over the Coastal Mountains.

Kye Bay Beach House is in an ideal location to explore so much of what the Central-North Island has to offer.

During the summer, the alpine resort of Mt. Washington is an easy 45 minutes away to the west where you can find incredible summer activities. Hike the beautiful trails, zip line through the tree tops, mountain bike in the forests or take the gondola up to the summit!

If you are looking for more local outdoor activities, Seal Bay Nature Park, Royston Seaside Trail and Comox Lake are all incredible hiking areas. For mountain biking, you cant go wrong ripping through the extensive trail network in Cumberland Forest. Perfect for all skill levels, this stunning forest is an ideal way to spend the day on your bike.

Explore some of the natural wonders of the Island and have once-in-a-lifetime experiences in Campbell River, 40 minutes north of Kye Bay. Here, you can book incredible wilderness ecotours to search for black, brown and grizzly bears in their natural habitat the Great Bear Rainforest. Take a trip out into the Salish Sea and go whale watching and see if you can spot other marine mammals that call this water home. If you are an avid angler, you will want to take advantage of being so close to some of the best seasonal salmon fishing in the world and book a charter!

Comox, Courtenay and neighbouring Cumberland all have incredible town centres where you can find stunning farm-to-table dining, incredible craft beer, locally owned boutiques filled with works by local artisans and wonderful farmers markets. For everyday groceries and amenities, the local Crown Isle Plaza on Ryan Rd. is where you will find the popular local market, Thrifty Foods, liquor store, pizza, Starbucks, and hardware store.

During the summer months, the Comox Valley comes alive with the many festivals and events that are held in this picturesque area.

Get tickets to the extensive music and artisan Filberg Festival that locals look forward to every year, groove on over to the Vancouver Island Music Fest where you can listen to the best roots, folk and global music that the Island has to offer or head to the BC Seafood Festival and get a taste of what the waters off the coast of this incredible Island have to offer - there is always tons to do in the Comox Valley in the summer!

The Kye Bay Beach House is easy to access and close to many travel access points. The Comox Valley Airport YQQ offers flights from two major Canadian carriers and is only five minutes away from the property.

If you are arriving from Vancouver by ferry, the Nanaimo ferry terminal is an easy hour drive on Highway 19, Swartz Bay ferry terminal is three and a half hours away and the capital city of Victoria is a three hour drive away from the cottage.

Please note the extra cabin bedroom and bathroom is only available from April 1 - October 31 each year.
