Away On The Bay, is a three bedroom ocean front vacation home located in the World Famous town of Chemainus BC, where tourist come to enjoy the large hand painted murals that line the streets depicting British Columbia heritage and culture. Chemainus has many terrific restaurants, artisans, curio shops, and one of the best dinner theatres in the country.

Away On The Bay gives you the best of what Vancouver Island has to offer. Imagine being able to relax in your back yard enjoying incredible ocean and island views. Having a barbeque on the outside decks or soaking in the outdoor hot tub. Taking advantage of the beach at your back doorstep. When the tide is out enjoy the sun heated sand beneath your feet and when the tide comes in the sand warms up the water which is terrific for swimming. Observe marine wildlife by such as seals, sea lions, porpoises, and if your lucky you might see a pod of orca whales.

Away On The Bay features three full bedrooms and a loft area for sleeping. The master bedroom is on the top floor with a king sized bed and large ensuite with a Jacuzzi tub, walk in shower, and double sinks. There is a loft area with a single bed just at the top of the stairs before you enter the master bedroom. The main floor has two full bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with two twins. There is a full bathroom next the main level bedrooms with a tub shower combo. The main level includes a sunken living room with a large flat screen TV, fireplace, and sitting areas for watching a good movie or socializing while admiring the spectacular views. Just outside of the living room is a wrap around deck that includes plenty of outdoor seating, BBQ, and hot tub. Step up from the sunken living room and enter into the dining room with antique dining table and hutch with seating up to 8 people. There is a full sized fully equipped kitchen with all the major appliances for the chef in your group to enjoy. There is a breakfast table that has seating for 4 persons in the kitchen. The lower level is an unfinished basement where the washer and dryer are located as well as a video gaming room. The property itself is nearly half an acre with a small orchard of apple trees in the front yard and extensive gardens and trees line throughout the entire property. However, it is the back yard that gives you the sweeping views and ocean access.

There are many activities to choose from in the area within a short driving distance such as the dinner theatre, restaurants, shops, parks and a ferry to Thetis Island, where there is a charming pub for lunch. When the tide is out, walk the beaches and examine purple starfish, sand dollars, oysters and barnacles or bring your boat and launch it in the town park. Enjoy golfing on Mt. Brenton Golf Course, kayaking along the ocean shorelines, zip lining and bungy jumping in Nanaimo, yachting the Gulf Islands, wine tasting throughout Cowichan Valley vineyards, fly fishing on Fuller Lake and farmers markets throughout the region. The Nanaimo airport is 15 minutes away and Victoria is approximately 1 hour driving time.
