Wood Haven is a quaint newly built suite located in Super Natural East Sooke. This home is located at the end of a dead end street nestled amongst the trees in a small residential development of family homes on small acreages. Within minutes by foot you can be in 3200 acre East Sooke Park where you can walk for hours or by using your car you have access to any number of beaches, hikes, lakes, ocean vistas and natural expanses all within a 20 minute drive.

When you first arrive at Wood Haven, you can make use of the plentiful parking space which can fit an RV or 1 to 2 cars. There is even an outdoor power outlet in the driveway should you require it. Proceeding around the rear of the building finds you in your grassy yard area with a fire pit, patio furniture, lovely stone sitting area with privacy screen, out-door games and your private entrance. Located in front of you is an undeveloped forested property of more than 100 acres making you feel like you are right on the edge of the wilderness. If you are bringing your pets, please note that the property is not fenced and rabbits and deer sometimes roam the area so make sure your pet is under supervised control at all times. Just to your right is the open outdoor shower. At the end of the garden and up several steps is the main house, which is above and to the right of the cottage.

Entering the cottage on the ground floor you pass the bathroom to your left. It is small and cozy and features a shower, toilet and single sink. To your right is the ground floor bedroom which features a laundry closet and for your relaxing pleasure, a Jacuzzi tub. Moving further in you are in the country kitchen which is well equipped for anything you might need including a blender, toaster, microwave, full stove with an oven and a large country sink. At the back of the kitchen are the stairs leading to the second floor which opens up into a large area for seating in the front and sleeping in the rear. The bedroom area has a queen size bed and the pull out couch is in the sitting area. The sitting area has everything you need to entertain yourself including some movies to watch on the wall mounted LCD TV and DVD player or you can play a board game.

East Sooke is filled with country type things to do. There are a couple of Hobby Farms in the area to buy your fresh produce that's in season as well as many locations to buy still warm fresh eggs. East Sooke is well known for it's local Artisans, many of which open their studios for sales so you can view the art pieces and purchase direct from the owner. Make sure to check to see if you are around for the Stinking Fish Studio Tour as this is the best time to view the diverse artists. Thanks to East Sooke Park, you also have great hiking and walking just minutes from the front door. Stroll onto a beach at Becher Bay or hike all day along the coast trail, the choice is yours. Want to go for a swim? Matheson Lake is close at hand and is a pristine wilderness lake ripe for exploration and fishing. Looking to do some ocean fishing? Charter your boat nearby at Becher Bay or in Sooke, there is more information in the unit, and head to the wild west side for salmon, halibut, rock cod and more. Surf the waves at Jordon River approximately 45 minutes away by car. Put your Kayak or Canoe in at nearby Anderson Cove and head out to the Sooke Basin. Bike or walk your dog on the Galloping Goose Trail and so much more await you just out the door at Wood Haven, come and see for yourself!
